The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) Elephant Nursery in Nairobi National Park provides a safe haven to orphaned baby elephants rescued by the DSWT. The Nursery provides the first stage in the hand-rearing and development of milk dependent baby elephants. Once they graduate from the Nursery, aged 2-3 years, the elephants move to one of the DSWT’s Reintegration Centres in Tsavo East National Park, from where they will ultimately return to the wild (Trip Adviser). Please vist their website for an indepth review of what they do.

I bumped into A clip of the baby elephants at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage at Nairobi National Park and thought I should share as it reminded me that my friend has organised a one day tour this coming weekend to The David Sheldrick here in Nairobi. I have been here but way back when I was small boy, I cannot recount very much. I am told they are very friendly and will come up to you to say hi and you will get touched.

I am sure you would want to participate, tag your loved ones along for an experiential and fun filled day, click here for more info. Since it is day tour, there is more to it because you will visit Kitengela glass and finally have lunch at Olarro hotel. Your day cannot be more fun than that!
